It&#8217;s not good news for those of you who like open face helmets: your facial features are at risk in 55% of all accidents and, as any surgeon will tell you, there are some truly horrifying injuries that are suffered to the lower jaw by motorcyclists who don&#8217;t wear full-face helmets.<\/p>\n<p>The statistics come from a 1981 report called the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Hurt_Report\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hurt Report<\/a>.
