There are four things you need to look at to calculate your own maximum weight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The axle and axle group limits as per the certificate of loading<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The axle and axle group limits as per the vehicle dimensions and mass rule (VDAM)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The tare weight of the vehicle and the gross vehicle mass (GVM) or gross combination mass (GCM)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The type of tyres you are using.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once you have this information, you can calculate the maximum weight based on the tyre guidance supplied by NZTA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you are running high-productivity motor vehicles (HPMV) they can run heavier, but must meet certain requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To learn about this so that you don&#8217;t receive another fine, the axle weight limits are explained in the course mentioned above.
