The F endorsement means that you&#8217;ve successfully completed a theory and practical test related to driving on the road, and you only have to do this once (as long as you keep renewing the endorsement every time your driver&#8217;s licence expires).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, the operator&#8217;s certificate (also called an OSH certificate, forklift licence or forklift ticket) must be renewed every 3 years. This is because the Approved Code of Practice says 3 years, and the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 (which is legislation) says you must follow the Code or do it a better way (waiting longer than 3 years wouldn&#8217;t be a better way, unless you&#8217;re doing something else which is even better).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Do you have to do the operator&#8217;s certificate at the same time as the F endorsement?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>No<\/strong>, you can do it separately at any time. We have an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.drivingtests.co.nz\/course\/forklift\/\">online forklift operator&#8217;s certificate course<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Do you have to use the same trainer for the operator&#8217;s certificate as the F endorsement?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>No<\/strong>. You can mix and match, however, some companies might require that you&#8217;ve done one or the other within a maximum of 3 months before.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Can you do the F endorsement separately from the operator&#8217;s certificate?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Yes<\/strong>. When you do the F endorsement, you&#8217;ll pay to get it applied to your driver licence.
