A. If you don't stop when requested
B. If you refuse to tell the police officer your name and address, or give false information about the ownership of the vehicle you are driving
C. If you refuse the procedures for blood or breath alcohol testing
D. If you drive when you are told not to by a police officer
E. If you don't give your car keys to an officer when requested
A police officer has the power to arrest you if you don't stop when required, if you refuse to tell the police officer your name and address, or give false information about the ownership of the vehicle you are driving, if you refuse the procedures for blood or breath alcohol testing, if you drive when you are told not to by a police officer, or if you don't give your car keys to an officer when requested.
You do have rights when a police officer arrests you. The police officer must tell you why you are being arrested unless it's either impractical or it's obvious. You have the right to remain silent, and the police officer will inform you of this right. You have the right to talk to a lawyer, and the police officer will inform you of this right. You must be charged promptly or be released, and if you are not released then you must appear before the court as soon as possible. You have the right to be free from arbitrary arrest and to be treated with humanity and dignity.
In general, a police officer has the power to arrest you without a warrant if you are committing an offence punishable by a prison term (or if there's good cause to suspect you've done this), you are breaching the peace (or there's good cause to suspect this), or the officer has a specific statutory power to arrest you without a warrant.
The police officer will also impound your vehicle if you are caught driving while disqualified, with a suspended licence, with an expired licence, without a licence at all, or if you've previously been ordered not to drive.
Refusing the blood and breath alcohol testing procedures mentioned above means refusing to go with an officer for a blood or breath test, not waiting for the result of an evidential blood or breath test, or refusing to give a blood sample (if you've already refused to give an evidential breath test).
A passenger might also be arrested, too, if they are in breach of any of the above.
You could also be arrested for assaulting a police officer.
