Why do we need to indicate?

There are two reasons why you must indicate every time you make a manoeuvre, even if you think there's no one around.

  1. You might not have seen every road user
  2. It maintains the habit of indicating

The Road Code says that you must indicate for three seconds before making a manoeuvre such as changing lanes, turning into a driveway, turning into a parking space, turning at an intersection or overtaking another road user.
