You must either have an existing Forklift Operator's Certificate course licence or you have a recent operator's certificate (issued no more than one year ago).
If you have already done the Forklift Operator's Certificate course and want to upgrade it to an F endorsement course with the practical assessment, this course will give you the ability to drive a forklift on the road, as long as you have, at minimum, a full New Zealand class 1 driver licence.
The theory modules should take between 15-30 minutes and the final assessment will take 1.5 hours.
Once you have completed the course, contact TR Driver Training on 0800 637 000 to book your in-person assessment at one of their 12 branches nationwide (Auckland, Hamilton, Mt Maunganui, Rotorua, Hastings, New Plymouth, Palmerston North, Wellington, Blenheim, Nelson, Christchurch or Dunedin). Scheduling your assessment is subject to branch and trainer availability and will be between Monday to Friday.
How do I get the F endorsement on my licence? You must hold a full New Zealand Class 1 (car) licence. Please bring it with you to the assessment. Once you have finished and passed the theory and practical assessment with TR Driver Training you can apply at VTNZ or AA to have the F endorsement added to your New Zealand full driver licence. VTNZ/AA charge separately for this (the cost is not included in the course fee)
TR Driver Training will issue you the certificate to take to your local NZTA representative.
