Turning left at traffic lights
You can only turn left in these circumstances:
- You have a green arrow to the left
- You have a green traffic signal and no red arrow to the left
- You have a filter lane with a give way or stop sign that allows you to turn without going through the traffic lights
- There are no emergency services vehicles passing through the intersection
- There are no pedestrians crossing that are blocking your way
- There is enough room for you to turn without blocking the intersection or having to stop across a pedestrian crossing
- It's safe to do so.
