A. Merging traffic ahead
B. Road diverges ahead
C. Two-way traffic ahead
D. The right lane will be slowing down while the left lane speeds up
You will find this sign if a motorway, expressway or dual carriageway ends and traffic becomes separated by only a line rather than a median strip or barrier.
In some configurations where a one-way street becomes a two-way street it might also be seen.
The sign is bright yellow. One will be placed on either side of the road in good time before the road merges, and again on either side where the road merges.
Motorcyclists should be aware of the buffeting effect of oncoming heavy vehicles.
