Driving tests

If you have a forklift operator’s certificate, can you do an F endorsement separately?

If you already have an operator’s certificate (or OSH certificate) but you want to drive a forklift on the road, can you simply do the F endorsement qualification or do you have to do the whole operator’s certificate again?

It is possible to do just the F endorsement. This costs $139.85 including GST. The theory can be done online in around half an hour. You then need to come to any TR Driver Training branch nationwide to do the final written exam and the practical assessment. This usually takes up to 90 minutes. The written exam is a MITO paper. Similar questions are included in the online theory to prepare you for the MITO theory test. The practical assessment includes a simulated road with loading and unloading.

Here is the F endorsement upgrade course. Note that you must already have a current operator’s certificate.

TR Driver Training can be contacted on 0800 637 000 to book the practical assessment.
